The aim of the session will be to address bike handling skills, as well as to develop the skills necessary for successful riding within a group. We will also be practicing bike skills and addressing tips for your forthcoming races.

The session will comprise a series of activities to ensure you are confident and happy to head out to enjoy a social group ride this summer, whatever your pace. For more experienced riders this session is likely to tackle skills from a new perspective and, therefore, refresh exisiting skills. The use of a bike track allows us the opportunity to practise bike racing skills safely.

The session is open to all Club members, no matter what your strength or speed, neither of which will be an issue at this session, though both will become a positive outcome from secure riding.

If you are already a confident rider then you are welcome to come along and join us to practice and share this, and your own, experience - you may pick up a few new tips.

Meet at the entrance to the bike track at York Sports Village at 3pm.

This is a 2 hour session, however the session is paced with breaks.

Please bring hydration and nutrition as appropriate as well as appropriate clothing according to the weather forecast.

Your bike should be in safe working order, and helmets must be worn.

Wait list and cancellation

If you can no longer attend the session, please cancel as soon as possible to allow others to take your place.

You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the session to receive a refund. (Click the withdraw box next to your name on the event to cancel)

If on the waitlist you have one hour to accept your place before it rolls down to the next person. If you are on the waitlist but can no longer attend please cancel your place so a free place can roll straight to the next person

Please ensure that if there are any changes to your health / that could impact your ability to take part in the session, you let your coaches/session leader know ahead of the session and please only attend if you are fit and well enough to take part.
