This session will consider and revise skills specific to open water swimming (acclimatisation, sighting, breathing, drafting and such like) with a view toward racing in open water.
This session is ideal for those who are still yet to race in open water in 2025, as well as those who haven''t yet ventured into open water. For those who have, the session will provide further tips and look towards your progression.
Please bring a suitable wetsuit and goggles which must be worn. You will be given a brightly coloured swim cap.
Also bring a drink and appropriate nutrition.
We’ll meet, swim ready, at the picnic benches on the lakeside for a briefing before entering the water.
Please pay at the office.
Please note:
This session is open, only, to those swimmers who have previously attended a York Tri Club coached swim session and you must be certain that you can confidently swim at least 400m.
You must ensure you are fit and well enough to attend.
