Swim session focused primarily on building and improving technique in order to support you to swim more efficiently and ultimately faster.
The swim depends more on technique than the other triathlon disciplines. Water creates far more resistance than air, so even small improvements to your stroke can make a big difference.
And by refining swim technique you’ll not only complete the swim leg faster, but conserve more energy so you are fresher for the bike and run.
The off season is the perfect time to work technique, as well as base fitness, ready for you to reap the rewards come race season.
What you''ll need:
Necessities - swim kit, towel, goggles and water bottle.
Very useful to have - Pull buoy, fins and kick board
Very Nice to have (but no where near imperative) - hand paddles and swim watch
Location: We swim at Energise and usually meet poolside. We would recommend using the lockers rather than leaving your kit poolside - you will need 20p.
Please ensure that if there are any changes to your health / that could impact your ability to take part in the session, you let your coaches/session leader know ahead of the session and please only attend if you are fit and well enough to take part.
