BUCKLEY AND BOUET present
19:00 – 21:00 3 November 2026 at the Winning Post Bishopthorpe Road
‘All things swimming’ and ‘An introduction to the triathlon journey’
How to be more relaxed, more efficient and so faster in the water and what a typical training programme may look like. For beginners and ‘experts’ alike.
Followed by an introduction to progressing from one level to more challenging triathlons with a real and honest view on what it is and what to expect. The start of the journey from sprint to extreme. How to train and an insight to the real challenge of progression.
Very informal and more about discussion and chat rather than presentations. Come along to share all things triathlon and to meet, chat, socialise and have a beer.
Your hosts
Neil is one of the club coaches and you may be aware provides one 2 one coaching for members free of charge. He is also a BTF Official and an ex GB Age group athlete. In the last 12 months he has coached members to Ironman and 70.3 success, GB AG qualification and first events. He has officiated at Ironman Bolton and Leeds, Outlaw Sprint, Half and Full as well as a number of local events.
Since his first sprint in 2011, Christian has followed the “if I can do that, I wonder if I can…” approach to triathlon. This has led to 15 ironman distance starts, with 9 completed, and the majority of them in the “extreme” category. Events like Triathlon X, The Brutal, and Bearman are unknown to most but they offer a whole new perspective on triathlon where getting to the start line is amazing, and failure to complete is the norm.
